An environmentally friendly air conditioner? Is it possible? We say yes, if you take the time to look at everything a little more closely. It's often the little things that need to be considered that matter.
There's no question that air conditioning is necessary for our comfort in a big city where the thermometer consistently reads 30°C+ in the summer. At the same time, at Erzherzog Rainer, our environment is important to us. We carry the Austrian Ecolabel and meet all the necessary conditions for it. Therefore, we also wanted to pay attention to its ecological factor when installing our cooling system.
The TROX system is particularly energy-efficient, with no motors in the rooms. It maintains a pleasant comfortable temperature throughout, adapted to the weather conditions in each case. In addition, fresh air is supplied throughout, which creates a noticeably more pleasant room climate than when existing air is circulated, as with conventional split units.
Heat and cold sensations vary from person to person, so the temperature in the room can additionally be adjusted individually. The advantage of our system: a rapid energy-consuming cooling from 100 to 0 is not at all necessary in this way.

Great Hotel and Location (2nd stay) I was at this hotel 6 months ago and said that, although a little noisy at the front of the hotel, I would come back again because it was wonderful. So I did and this time I got an interior room. I wasn't disappointed. Our room overlooked the courtyard and was a lot quieter than the front. Yet again the staff were very helpful, friendly, and efficient all the way from reception to the waiting staff to the room cleaners. Breakfast is excellent with a great hot and cold selection and the location is brilliant with a short 5 minute walk to the underground or trams out front which go into the centre. Alternatively you can walk from the hotel, past Karlsplatz, to the Opera house, the centre, and Stephansplatz in about 30 mins if you feel like a stroll. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back again this year with the whole family.
